I have my students fill out a short survey after every class, which counts as their attendance. In it, they let me know clearest points, muddiest points, and anything else they want to tell me. It's a good check on my teaching, although it can occasionally be demoralizing.

The comments about the {purrr} section have been encouraging so far: - "purrr blew my mind" - "The map() function was explained very well"
-
- "When I first looked at part 7, I thought, oh, I'm not going to understand any of this! But you did a great job of teaching it, and I felt really comfortable with everything at the end."
-
Still some confusion about it, but I've found that the homework usually helps cement what they've learned.

I am grateful that the students are willing to let me know what things they find confusing. It definitely helps shape the course, and their feedback has been helpful.
