    @aosmith16 I went over for loops very early in class, and they were hard to understand, especially placeholders and starting an empty list. We finally got through them, but I think if you set them up for success for functions and lists, you may be able to jump straight to list-loops

      @aosmith16 This, of course, is probably making all of the CS instructors scream a little bit inside. But I think it's better to teach concepts as you need them, rather than dumping a bunch at the beginning of the course.
