What I really wish that everyone would realize that with their requests: when they say, "this will only take x minutes of your time", it will usually take 3x that. Be better at estimating at the amount of mental effort a task will take.Permalink On twitter.com

A big part of this is task switching. Know that asking for something with an urgent flag is going to at least add at least 15-30 minutes of lost time having to switch back to what I need to do. Be better at how much time you give someone to complete a task.Permalink On twitter.com

To keep myself sane, I've had to start saying no, even though I feel guilty about it. Be better at knowing the guilt you cause when I'm forced to say no. Being disappointed just contributes to my mental distress.Permalink On twitter.com
