@CMastication It's hard. Too much theory often means stamping out the joy of a subject; but if you don't teach it, then your students will eventually run into a wall. I try to limit the amount, sticking to useful frameworks that can get me unstuck when working on a problem.

@CMastication That said, the hands on applications that follow have to support understanding whatever theory you've presented.
